We're off to Devon tomorrow for the opening night of the Museum of British Surfing, I can't wait to see what they have on show. Surfing in the UK goes back a lot further than most people realise and it sounds like the museum have some real gems in their collection. It's going to be amazing to have a permanent base and a proper archive for the history of surfing and surf culture in the UK, and it will be nice to catch up with some friends from Devon too.
It's not just a social trip though, as Finisterre are sponsoring the opening event and we're taking the workshop on tour with a sale in the Youth Centre right next door to the museum on Friday and Saturday so you can kill two birds with one stone! Sadly it looks like the surf & weather gods aren't smiling on us, but you can't have everything...
