OK Winter, you win.

.

Low tide PT was firing this morning. It was one those perfect winter dawnies, sunny, cold, and offshore. I'm not ashamed to admit I did a little dance for joy in the carpark when I remembered I had an old pair of boots kicking around in the depths of my boot and wouldn't have to walk all the way back up the stony beach barefoot.

Winter, you win. It's time for the 5mm rubber.

  1. Arrgh, now it's my turn to be jealous, I've already heard 2 other people waxing on about how good porthtowan was this morning! What time's it getting light now? think i'm just about at the point where I havent quite got enough time to squeeze a surf in before work now. Boo. And no surprises, the weekend isn't looking all that promising.
    Damn you winter

  2. Yeah it was pretty good, but after a few waves I was too cold to surf properly!

It's getting light just before 7 I think, as long as the sky's clear anyway. Looking windy & onshore for the next week, what's happened to our winter glass??

  3. I know, I think we were spoilt and had it all in one hit in October. Plenty more winter left yet though...as if that's a good thing?!
7 is just about doable, tomorrow was looking vaguely promising, then I realised my window of opportunity has diminished once again...8ish low tide, grrr. Damn my early week slothness.
    Weekend's looking evil!
